Please join us to warmly welcome Chaplain and celebrate this exciting new chapter for our church and our community.

About Us

St Georges is a safe space for people from all backgrounds to find friendship and deepen their faith.

Our History

St George’s began in 1929 as an outreach of St James’s, Ivanhoe. The Parish was officially formed on 1 December 1959, with the Rev. H.R. Bailey serving as the first Vicar. During his ministry from 1959 to 1961, the Parish Chapel and Hall—later named Evans Hall—were completed.

Our Faith

We believe in God, the awe-inspiring and captivating nature of His holiness; our connectedness with Him and each other; and caring for those in need.

Our Music

Step into the warmth of St George’s and discover a Heritage of Sacred Sound that stirs the soul and uplifts the spirit.
St George Church has a rich musical tradition, highlighted by its robed choir and impressive pipe organ preserving the sacred art of choral and organ music for generations to come.

Our Giving

Each year, we select mission partners and other identified beneficiaries to uplift lives, nurture hope, and foster positive change both locally and across the globe. We partner with others to transform communities and restore dignity.
