\nthe house of Israel.
\nThus says the Lord :
\nWhat wrong did your ancestors find in me
\nthat they went far from me,
\nand went after worthless things, and became worthless themselves?
\nThey did not say, Where is the Lord
\nwho brought us up from the land of Egypt,
\nwho led us in the wilderness,
\nin a land of deserts and pits,
\nin a land of drought and deep darkness,
\nin a land that no one passes through,
\nwhere no one lives?
\nI brought you into a plentiful land
\nto eat its fruits and its good things.
\nBut when you entered you defiled my land,

\nDo not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that

\nwith them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves

\nLet marriage be held in honour by all, and let the marriage bed be
\nkept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
\nKeep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with

\nRemember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you;
\nconsider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.

\nThrough him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to
\nGod, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.
\nDo not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such
\nsacrifices are pleasing to God.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\nLuke 14.1, 14.7-14<\/summary>\nOn one occasion when Jesus was going to the house of a leader of
\nthe Pharisees to eat a meal on the sabbath, they were watching him
\nclosely. When he noticed how the guests chose the places of honour,
\nhe told them a parable. When you are invited by someone to a
\nwedding banquet, do not sit down at the place of honour, in case
\nsomeone more distinguished than you has been invited by your host;
\nand the host who invited both of you may come and say to you,
\nGive this person your place, and then in disgrace you would start to
\ntake the lowest place. But when you are invited, go and sit down at
\nthe lowest place, so that when your host comes, he may say to you,
\nFriend, move up higher; then you will be honoured in the presence of
\nall who sit at the table with you. For all who exalt themselves will
\nbe humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. He
\nsaid also to the one who had invited him, When you give a luncheon
\nor a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your
\nrelatives or rich neighbours, in case they may invite you in return,
\nand you would be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the
\npoor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. And you will be blessed,
\nbecause they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the

\n<\/details>\n\nBUILDING WORKS UPGRADE NOTICE<\/summary>\nMaintenance Upgrade Of all Cracked & moved brickwork:- We have
\nbeen advised the balance of all cracked & replacing mortar joints through-
\nout internally & externally of the offices, meeting room. Ladies & gents
\nbathrooms, corridors ETC will commence on the last week of the school
\nholidays being Monday September 29th & Friday October 3rd. Our
\nBuilders Calcon Constructions have worked in with us re school hol-
\nidays, & eliminated a lot of our Tenants booking times in which our
\nParish council is very mindful & appreciative of.
