It is with sadness that we share the news of the sudden and unexpected death of a dear friend to many, and former Vicar of St Georges, the Rev’d Noel Whale.
Noel died suddenly yesterday morning at his home in Sunbury. Whilst Noel had been diagnosed with cancer not quite two weeks ago, his death yesterday was unexpected.

Noel’s funeral will be conducted at St Georges East Ivanhoe on Monday 9th October 2023, commencing at 10.30am. Refreshments will be served in the Evans Hall immediately following the service.

In the face of adversity Noel wanted us all to know that his faith was resolute.

We will remember Noel at our 8am and 10am services on Sunday next, and a gentle reminder that the clocks go forward this weekend.We look forward to welcoming many of you to church as we remember and give thanks to God for Noel.

Approximately 1200 books cater for all tastes at very reasonable prices. Categories include biography, exploration, arts and crafts, sport, cookery and a vast variety of novels, both paperback and hardback. Come in and have a browse: you may find a hidden gem!
